  • Who is H&H Coffee Group
    Who is H&H Coffee Group? Entrepreneurs Alain P. Hernandez and Marisol D. Siles are the founders of HH Coffee Group in 2011. Their profound love for exquisite coffee is deeply rooted through family ties that have led to their expansion into the international market of Arabic coffee. They bring forth their expertise of 15 years in horticultural business including but not limited to: harvesting, planting, fertilizing, soil management, etc.

    OUR BUSINESS STRUCTURE!

     

    Exports: HH Coffee Group sells green specialty coffee, including organic, as well as commercial quality coffee which totaled 115,500 quintales (1 quintal = 100 pounds in 2015/2016 (280 containers).

     

    Production: HH Coffee Group production comes from Siles Plantation and purchasing from lbs of green coffee from our farms with a goal to produce 40,000 qq in four years.

     

    Dry Milling and Processing: Owner of “La Pita”, HH Coffee Group processed last year 37,00 quintales with a goal to increase to 40,000 in 2017/18.

    H&H Export takes care of your coffee from suppliers to your venue of business.

     

    On site, at the market, we ensure the quality of coffee. We handle issues involving warehousing, movement, and delivery, future options, and contracts for both current and upcoming crop harvests, giving our clients the best import/export service.

    PRODUCTION: FARM | SILES PLANTATION

     

      Siles Plantation is “El Paraiso” a Coffee while Farm located in the middle of two National Nature Reserves known as “El Arenal” and “Datanli” in Matagalpa, Nicaragua.

      It produces high quality coffee protecting the environment and the workers, the farm owners make sure that the farm production is ecological so the farm has organic certification, also they make sure to give its workers the best possible working conditions, ensuring their health, security and a fair trade.

      Siles Plantation has gained five different Certifications:  Fair Trade, Organic (NOP USDA, USA/CAN EQ, EU EQ), Rain Forest Alliance, Shade Grown Coffee (Bird Friendly Coffee), UTZ and FLO for the Dry mill

  • WHAT ABOUT NICARAGUAN PRODUCTION
    What about Nicaraguan production? First export product. -Creates more than 200 thousand employments Generates more than 200 million dollars per year. -We have more than 30 thousand farmers. -Last year the total production was of 20 percent of the production is of specialty coffee. -We have near of 130 thousand hectares of coffee. -Nicaragua has 7 productive regions of coffee: Nueva Segovia, Matagalpa, Jinotega, Madriz, Estelí, Boaco and the Pacific. Nicaraguan farms cultivate 4 different varieties of coffee: Caturra, Catuai, Bourbon, Maragogipe and other hybrids.

    Total Coffee Area: 845 Manzanas

    Plans to grow Coffee Area: 150 Manzanas more

    Annual Production: 35,200

    Types of Coffee produced: Specialty

    Varieties: Catimor, Caturra, Maracaturra, Java, Catuai Rojo and yellow, Pacamara (with plans of including Marsellesa y Lempira)

    New Varieties: Maragogipe, Bourbon

  • MILLING PROCESS

    Milling Process – La Pita

     

    Description (machinery, warehouse capacity, location, # of people, own laboratory)

    Located in Quebrada Honda, Matagalpa, the mill is strategically positioned to give you the best coffee in the region

     

    The mill it´s constantly maintained and always up to date, the milling has a capacity of mill +1000 quintales a day, also it´s able to process European preparation, the clasification it´s electronically made, the coffee is sun dried, wich gives a better quality to the beans, in the mill we have 30 permanent workers and in the harvest season we can top up to 60 workers.

     

    80% of the received coffee is washed and 20% natural
